A simple lyric from Pink’s Just Give Me a Reason, "we're not broken, just bent" has been integral in my vision for this series. “Bent, Not Broken” leans into moodiness and emotional tension to honour the moments when life presses in, yet one remains standing. Perhaps not upright. Perhaps changed. But still here. Bent, but not broken.

Too often, we are asked to carry it all - to be strong, composed, unflinching - even when the weight is heavy. These portraits seek to create space for the full spectrum of experience: the visible and the unseen, the cracks and the light that shines through them. Vulnerability is not weakness; it is a quiet, steady kind of courage.

At its heart, "Bent, Not Broken" is a testament to endurance and resilience, in all its imperfect forms. Life bends us all. But in the bending, there is also beauty and grace, a reminder that strength is not about standing tall but about standing at all and is an invitation for incredible growth.
