Capsules of Hope by Lila Donovan
My intention with this piece is to demonstrate beauty and the many possibilities nature offers us for hope if we use our infinite imagination, especially in light of the madness happening in the world today and the eco anxiety people are feeling for our planet.
These seed capsules are pregnant with meaning and inspiration for me.
Seeds carry life
Seeds sow life
Seeds give life
Just before creating this image I practiced a Qigong mediation. This allowed me to connect with the presence in this seed capsule long enough to see and feel the connection they have with all of life including the trees they came from along with the human hands that reverently crushed them to capture the colours evident on the handmade paper.
All creatures, flora, fauna and humans leave their mark on this world. Beauty grows and shows in harmony with nature.
